Export Control and Economic Sanctions in Germany

Basic Seminar for Representatives of International Groups and Foreign Investors (Export Compliance Officers)

Am 25. Juni 2020 (June, 25th) (9.15 h – 17.00 h) findet in Mainz, Hilton City Hotel, eine Spezialveranstaltung für international agierende Unternehmen. statt.

Business activities of international groups are growing up quickly. Emerging technologies and innovative products open the door to new markets or customers. In this context it is important to be aware of all international trade regulations and restrictions.

Against the background of international conflicts and state security efforts as counter-proliferation, financial sanctions or prevention of terrorism, it is vital for contractors to observe developments in supply chain security and trade control.

Prohibitions and restrictions are complex and – in the meantime – hardly to understand.

EC Dual-Use Regulation (intra-EU transfer, export, brokering, transit, control lists, catch-all, responsibility of licensing and enforcement authorities)

Foreign Trade and Payments Ordinance – AWV (export of military items, technical assistance, prosecution)

System of Embargo Regulations EU/national (EU Common Foreign and Security Policy – CFSP, sanctions methodology, impact on compliance)

Participants are asked to submit questions, case studies and interests in advance.
